Pulut Lepa
Pulut Lepa is made of pounded fish and grated coconut with a sweet savoury taste rolled in pulut or glutinous rice shaped into a sausage. It is then wrapped in banana leaf and grilled over charcoal. Some people like the edges to be a bit burned and crispy when eating them, so staying a bit longer over the hot charcoal should not be taken as a cooking disaster. You may find the same dish elsewhere, but they use prawns and lots more spices instead of fish. Our version is not spicy and is milder to the taste.
