Ikan/Sotong Celup Tepung
With fresh fish and squid available most of the year, locals love their seafood deep fried in batter eaten with chili sauce as a dip. Unlike squids, which are cut into bite sized pieces, fish is deep fried whole and eaten on its own or with rice. To enjoy Malay food most, one must go native and eat using one’s fingers (using the right hand of course). For the best selections of Ikan or Squid Celup Tepung, head to Pantai Teluk Ketapang in Kuala Terengganu. For short, they are referred to as ICT and SCT respectively.
